NEO Roller Derby's skaters, referees, non-skating officials, volunteers and alumni extend our warmest thoughts to the family and friends of our former referee, Percy Q Tion (David McConnaughey), who passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013.

David joined the NEO family in 2009 and served not only as a league referee, but as a friend and confidant to many of those strapping on skates or picking up a clipboard for the league.

He served as one of our cherished volunteers, tirelessly working to help us reach many of the goals we strive to achieve. His dedication, candor, and sense of humor will sorely be missed. Percy leaves behind a legacy of dedication not only to our league, but to many leagues where he's lent a hand. Our hearts go out to everyone that had the chance to know him, and hope that the collective strength of the derby community can help them through this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held for him this Saturday the 22nd at New Community Church in Wexford PA 15090.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to “Tucker McConnaughey Education Fund” (David’s 13 year old son) and sent to c/o Rich Snebold, 602 Appleridge Court, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
